The internet has given shoppers a great new landscape for finding a vehicle, and with so many options at the touch of a button, chances are good that the right car at the right price is only a click away. Unfortunately, odds are also strong that the car you want is in another state and you are now faced with the reality of contracting a shipper to deliver it. What now? Well, when faced with this issue you should consider several options. Depending on your budget, time frame and desired level of service, you can choose between terminal-to-terminal shipping and door-to-door delivery.
Terminal-to-terminal shipping involves transporting your vehicle, along with many others, to the shipping company’s regional storage facility. By consolidating your vehicle in a bulk shipment you will be able to save money. The storage area will contact you when your vehicle arrives, and you can pick it up at your convenience. This is a great option if you are in the area of the storage facility and are able to organize a ride to pick up the vehicle. However, you must be aware of what the facility charges for storing the car if you can’t get it immediately and any additional costs you will accrue in getting the car home, as these can sometimes add up to more than you save over the door-to-door option. Also, deliveries are made on a schedule independent of your individual needs, so this choice lacks the flexibility of door-to-door delivery.
Door-to-door delivery is the more convenient of the two options, as it brings your new vehicle as close to your residence as possible. If narrow streets prevent the shipping company from actually bringing the vehicle to your doorstep, a nearby parking lot can serve as the drop-off point. The personal service this option requires drives up the price, so expect to pay more than for terminal-to-terminal.
So there you have it, two ways to get that new car from cyberspace to your front door without traveling across the country to pick it up. One option favors convenience while the other emphasizes savings, giving you the ability to select the method that fits your schedule and pocketbook best.

What has been failed to be mentioned is that uship.com allows ANYONE (Legal or illegal) to create an account on their site. There are many instances that have been posted on the uship “ASK MICKEY” forum that were deleted that people are trying to get money back from carriers that stole their money and others who have had items stolen (Boats, motorcycles, personal items).
Uship allows illegals and felons to stay on their site even AFTER they were warned aobut the scammers. Uship collects money from the person who posts the shipment. They call it a deposit buit it is a lie, it is the uship fee that if you mention on their site you can get banned.
Uship has many on there that will bait and switch once shipments are picked up, others who will tell you to pay a deposit, take the money and open a new profile and do it over and over and over….. Nice site if you want to be taken advantage of. Uship doesn’t even verify the “carriers” are legal
