As with any car purchase consumers generally start with, ‘how much vehicle do I need?’ Thus the list below of currently available hybrid cars and crossover/SUVs is loosely grouped by the 2010 EPA interior volume classification.

This list is based on 2010 models that are currently represented by manufacturers as being on sale within this calendar year.  There are a couple of 2009 exceptions not in the EPA’s 2010 list, but may  still be available through dealers.  Finally, this list does not include a couple of 2010 models in the EPA guide because they have not been officially released.  The idea behind this approach is to give consumers a snapshot of what they can purchase this weekend, not within the next 12 months.
