For a car that’s under $30k, and for the 5-star safety ratings on everything BUT rollover (4 stars), this car is a really, really good deal. It’s nice to look at. Fun to drive. It has a navigation system, XM-Satellite radio, cruise control, back-up assist camera, 6-CD changer, single CD hidden behind the navigation system screen, leather interior, heated seats, power moon-roof, safety everything, AND it’s easy on the pocketbook. It’s a no brainer – a great value for a great vehicle!

Driving Impressions: 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid

Expert Reviews Honda hybrid

The Civic hybrid is Honda’s entry level hybrid car. Unlike the Toyota Prius, the electric engine is incremental to the gas one, adding only 20 horsepower to the 4-cylinder’s 93 (the Prius adds 67 to the 4-cylinder’s 76). As a result, it doesn’t have the same eerie quietness of the Prius or the abundance of torque.

2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Review

Expert Reviews Honda hybrid

I like this car. The Civic has a solid body structure, comfortable seats, and sips fuel. The interior colors mesh well together producing a pleasant visual experience for the occupants (albeit with a futuristic dash design) while the more-than-adequate sound system (love the XM satellite!) completes the auditory experience. The Galaxy Gray Metallic-colored Civic reminds me of a futuristic boat with a rising strake emanating from the front wheel well terminating at the rear bumper. Except for the small spoiler on the trunk lid, there are few sharp edges leading to aerodynamic efficiency.
