This show not only featured some of the coolest rides you will ever set your sights on but also some of the hottest girls found at any event. It seems like every supplier found top models to drive attention to their wares and their efforts do not go unnoticed.

THOUSANDS of people roam the show floor photographing these lovely, expressive, outgoing, sexy, sweet and wonderfully fun loving pretties. This year, our uncontrollable, hormone-deficient cameras went the extra mile, and we found hundreds of pictures of those scantily clad, oh-so beautiful models on our cameras… weird. As such, we thought that you might like to see how hard we work. Below, you will find pictures of those lovely SEMA ladies from this year.

Below is a sample of the talent occupying the booths at SEMA. Let us know who captures your fancy. Our full collection of eye candy can be found in the CarReview photo gallery: Girls of SEMA 2010

The 2010 SEMA show is the world’s largest aftermarket expo and this year boasts significant participation by more than a few major automakers. New ideas, renewed enthusiasm, and the penchant for going bigger while being eco-conscious all in the same breath. Below are a few photos that our friends from Microcarmag.com sent us. The full set of photos from Day 1 can be found in the CarReview SEMA 2010 photo gallery.

One example of a major carmaker having a presence is Honda having a grand total of 12 different CR-Zs on display at this year’s SEMA show. In addition to the Mugen and Hybrid R, big name companies like Bisimoto Engineering, DSO Eyewear, Eibach Springs, Fortune Motorsports and Konig Wheels have created their own one-off CR-Zs, accounting for a little less than half of Honda’s overall showing. Two special project CR-Zs are on hand, as well, done up by the folks from Honda Tuning Magazine and the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Honda Performance Development CR-Z Racer looks like a true racing machine with its fully stripped-down body, a lowered suspension, functional aerokit, and a set of 17-inch wheels with meaty racing slicks.

But the truly exciting mods are found under the hood, where Honda strapped a Borg Warner turbo to the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder to pump out 175-hp and 155 ft-lbs of torque. But that’s not all, Honda also rejigged the Integrated Motor Assist hybrid setup to produce added power that’s available with a Indy Car styled push-to-pass button. When pressed, the CR-Z makes a total of 200-hp and 175 ft-lbs of torque.

A car show would not be complete without the pretty faces and long legs occupying the booth space alongside the cars. And at many of the booths, there were company spokesmodels who were charming and friendly and quite easy on the eyes in many cases. When you’re wearing a media badge and carrying a camera, they practically jump into position to pose for you, all in the interest of showing off their products and services to their best advantage. We assembled a small gallery of some of these “booth babes” to give you a taste of what SEMA offers. We hope you enjoy the pics at least as much as the ladies enjoyed being there and posing. Clicking on the image will take you to the photo gallery setup specially for the booth babes.

More interesting tidbits and a lot more exciting stuff to follow in the next few days. Click on the thumbnail below to view the fullsize image.

Held each year in Las Vegas, Nevada, the SEMA Show 2010 is an industry event for the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association.

Held each year in Las Vegas, Nevada, the SEMA Show 2010 is an industry event for the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association.

Much more than just a trade show, SEMA brings together tuners and parts suppliers from across the auto industry to display their latest products using some of the most highly-modified and colorful vehicles anywhere in the world. Sometimes these creations are things of beauty, and some time they are outright disasters, which is part of what makes the SEMA Show so entertaining. Sharing the trade show floor along with the modified hot rods, muscle cars and sport compact cars, will be some mainstream automakers that are bringing an increasingly important presence at SEMA.

For 2010, MicroCarMag is going large and building a customized Nissan Cube for the SEMA show. This LoganBuilt Cube is designed by MicroCarMag founder Thomas “Logan” Musante and will feature graphics and exterior accents by Forjworks, wheels by Five:Ad, suspension upgrades from Tein and Tokico shocks, and a long list of super goodies that will be assembled and installed by the LoganBuilt team and Agundis Tire Shop. Photos of the unmodified juice-box before being assaulted by air ratchets and torque wrenches were taken by Jeff Cabacungan of Photoshootmycar.com.

Full details and photos of the LoganBuilt Nissan Cube will be feature here on CarReview when the SEMA 2010 show begins on November 2. In addition, MicroCarMag is sending us photos and video of the over-the-top customized cars and the models, standing in their 3 inch heels, showing off the latest gear to pimp your ride directly from the trade show floor.

This year’s show includes major displays from Ford (highlighting the Fiesta and Mustang), Chevy (highlighting the Camaro and Silverado HD), Honda (CR-Z), Scion, Chrysler, Dodge, Hyundai, Subaru, Kia and Lexus.

Audi is planning to draw crowds with its autonomous TTS Pikes Peak car, a custom R8 Spyder modified by Stasis Engineering and a selection of vehicles outfitted with, “a sophisticated lineup of after Sales and electronics products that enhance connectivity and entertainment.” No doubt the Stasis R8 will no doubt steal the show with a supercharger mated to the 5.2-liter V10 making 710-hp! To fill up their booth, Audi has partnered with Stasis Engineering and is bringing six Stasis Signature Series-tuned vehicles to the SEMA 2010 show, showing off to the world just how great customized Audis can look and perform.

An S5 Cabriolet will feature performance modifications that help it put out 410-hp instead of the factory 333-hp. These upgrades also enhance torque by 26 ft-lbs and SEMA visitors will be able to admire the six-piston Alcon calipers up close and personal. For the SUV lovers out there, Stasis’ Audi Q5 puts out 310-hp with upgrades to its handling and braking capabilities. Lastly, the popular S4 sedan has close to 80-hp more than the factory to go along with its suspension and brake upgrades.

As for the Autonomous Audi TTS Pikes Peak car, Audi plans a demonstration with the vehicle outside of the convention center on the 2nd.

Stasis Engineering products are all sold at Audi dealerships nationwide, offering up to a 25-percent increase in performance for various Audi models. This is in addition to their suspension, brake and driveline enhancing products. All Stasis Engineering products installed by a certified Audi dealership are backed with a 4-year, 50,000-mile warranty.

Click here to view the embedded video.

As SEMA approaches Chevy released a teaser video showing its official lineup of vehicles, which will join a long list of other creations from different aftermarket tuners in the GM booth.

“Great show cars that translate into products you can buy down the road.” In other words, while we’re not likely to see the cars make it from concept to production, some of the items included on them will be.

The focus of the booth will be a long list of Camaros with all sorts of extra goodies – many of which will be made available to consumers in the future. Also teased is a Z71 off-road version of the Silverado HD. Most exciting, however, is the “Jake” Corvette. For those who don’t follow Corvette Racing, “Jake” is the mascot of the team, indicating that Chevy may look to offer some Corvette Racing inspired accessories to owners of America’s iconic sports car.

Ford announced its SEMA lineup of custom cars, bringing eight Fiestas to display at Ford’s usually huge presence at the aftermarket expo. Along with a mishmash of other customized Fords, the Blue Oval will use the show to limelight its new 2011 Explorer crossover, showing off three modified versions of the “truck” in three different styles: Urban, Luxury and Adventure.

Not surprisingly the Urban Explorer was created by Funkmaster Flex, while Galpin Auto Sports built the Luxury model (above), complete with 24-inch wheels. Finally there’s the Lifestyle model built by CGS Motorsports with some up-scale touches while also highlighting the adventurous side of the crossover with items like carbon fiber bicycles.

Eight modified Fiestas will be on display and a Ford Racing Performance Parts version of the feisty sub-compact that will make 350-hp thanks to a 2.3-liter version of Ford’s 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine is going to be center stage.

“The goal of our 350-horsepower Fiesta is really twofold – first to reinforce Fiesta’s fun-to-drive nature with an extreme version that captures the attention of the influential enthusiast, and second, to introduce the Ford Racing/EcoBoost connection in a way that’s unexpected and outrageous,” said Mickey Matus, Ford Racing Performance group marketing manager. “In both cases, we’re targeting the discriminating performance enthusiast with our message. After all, they are the people others rely on for automotive expertise and recommendations.”

In addition to the Explorer and Fiestas, Ford will also have on hand two Taurus SHOs, including one built by H&R Springs and another by Rick Bottom Designs with a 16,000 watt audio system. A tacky looking Ford Edge by K-Daddy Kustomz will also be a part of the display, as will a Ford Fusion Sport by Steeda Autosports with plenty of suspension upgrades. And finally, there’s the impressive looking “Urban Assault Vehicle” Lincoln MKX by the ID Agency.

TechArt adds panache to the Porsche Panamera.

If the rather unique look of the Porsche Panamera is not enough for you, maybe you should look into the range of aftermarket goodies TechArt is offering. The Leonberg, Germany based company claims their body kits are of OE quality and we would have to agree. The new front bumper really does look like it came straight from Porsche’s plant in Leipzig. The body kit improves the look of the car without looking gaudy or losing the signature Porsche look.

The TechArt front bumper kit not only improves the look of the Panamera, it also may improve the aerodynamics of the high-end sport sedan. The three-part front spoiler should help improve high-speed stability and the redesigned front bumper helps cool the front brakes.

Like every tuning company these days, TechArt is offing a set of 21 or 22-inch wheels shod in high performance summer rubber. What is more interesting is the German tuner is going to offer an extensive interior modification package. The company will outfit the interior of the Panamera with decorative stitching, “exclusive” two-color leather finishing and wood trim.

A TechArt modified Panamera should be at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March. Pricing has not be revealed yet, but more than likely it’s a citation where if you had to ask you probably could not afford it anyway.

With only 20,000 Panamera’s built each year the market will be rather small for aftermarket parts, but well-heeled enthusiasts may like what TechArt has to offer. Now if RUF would sell a 1,000-hp kit the world would be a perfect place.

JDM tuner gives the plain Prius an aggressive look.

Prius owners looking to hotrod their hybrids should grab their credit card and English to Japanese dictionary. Tommy Kaira, the famous Japanese tuner best known by Americans from Gran Turismo, is now offering a range of performance parts and body kits for the car.

The body kit includes a new front bumper, a rear bumper with diffuser and side skirts. The kit really does manage to improve the rather mundane look of the car and is almost what you would expect if Toyota sold the Prius as a Scion. An odd touch is four exhaust tips which may be going a bit too far.

Tommy Kaira is also selling an improved brake kit and a variety of wheel packages. The largest of the wheels are in a mile-per-gallon-killing 18 inches. To round out the package, the Japanese tuner also offers a performance suspension kit that will lower the Prius several inches and a special steering wheel. Sundry items like special floor mats and seat covers are also available.

There is no official data on the effect these modifications will have on the hybrid’s gas mileage, but one could assume it will likely make it worse. Once you swap out the wheels with a heavier set and put on a body kit that will likely ruin the carefully engineered aerodynamic shape, it may defeat the whole reason why a person would buy a hybrid in the first place. It would of been interesting if a solar panel spoiler would of been included.

Prius performance products will appeal likely to a small audience and it’s unlikely that these JDM products will ever see acceptance in the United States. The Prius is seen almost as a status symbol in the US that is enjoyed by the average person and the rich and famous. These people are unlikely to change anything that affects the rather iconic look of the Prius. It’s only a matter of time before some crazy tuning company offers a turbo kit for the Prius.

It wouldn’t be SEMA without the gratuitous hotties showing off the latest products in the booths by some of Las Vegas’ very puurrrty girls. We managed to capture many of them in their most sultry poses and thanking the electronic genius for auto-focus and steady-shot. Otherwise there would be a lot of barely-in-focus, fuzzy pictures in our photo gallery. No worries. I have a feeling that you would look at them anyway.

Below are a few of my favorites. I apologize for not getting their measurements, interests, and favorite past time.
Hey Everyone at CarReview.com – It’s Thomas, founder of Microcarmag.com, here with my Day 1 report from the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Day 1 started with such fury as we witnessed the unveiling of some killer rides and heard announcements from some of the major automakers in our industry! The very first unveiling had Peter Klut from Dream Car Garage, a SPEED Channel show following the work of Peter’s crew at Legendary Motorcar, showing us an awesome 1970 Super Cuda that combined classic design with carbon fiber and Chip Foose green paint at the BASF paint booth. Klut’s special guest at the unveiling was none other than the famous designer Chip Foose! This unveiling was just the tip of the iceberg for our Day 1.

Honda, celebrating 50 years in North America, was the next to provide us with more great news as it announced that they would be extending race support to SCCA drivers with specially tuned 1.5 liter Honda Fit engines, parts support, and quick response with replacement parts. Also on the list of announcements from Honda was the extension of the Mugen accessory line to the Accord and Fit.

The next exciting unveiling found Hyundai showing off five fully modded Genesis coupes, one from Rys Millen sporting a rear engine V8 that looked ready to rip the Vegas strip! The others came from performance engineers such as Hennessey Performance Engineering, GReddy, and Street Concepts (which came complete with artwork by Courtney Mason).

Not to be outdone, Kia announced its entry into American motorsports. Kia will partner with Kinetic Group to enter two Kia Forte Koup race cars into the Grand-AM KONI Sports Car Challenge. We can’t wait to see how the Forte performs in racing.

Ford Motor Company continued to impress. Not only were they able to announce some killer new products that included a race-ready Super Snake Mustang, but they also impressed me with a demo drive of the Ford Fiesta! The Fiesta that I got to drive had an automatic transmission and was imported from Germany. From what I was told by a Ford agent, the US release will hopefully sport a 120 hp engine.

We closed out a busy Day 1 with a nice announcement – Grote said that they will be selling the thinnest LED strips available to date. Less than 0.5 mm thick, they have been able to make a very bright LED that allows for multiple applications. Grote has had a huge following in the big rig trucking industry and with the release of this new LED product, they hope to do the same in the aftermarket industry.

So ends the first day of SEMA… A very busy day… more to come!!!

Son, you’re gonna drive me to drinkin’, if ya don’t stop drivin’ that hot rod Lincoln. Yeah, way back when, Lincolns were not cars to be trifled with. They had big enough plants and there was enough go fast goodies out there that you wouldn’t treat them the way … well, the way you’d look at a Lincoln today.

Sure, for the past however long, they’ve been very nice and luxurious Fords, but performance cars? Not so much. Lincoln is looking to change that with three customized rides rolling out at this years SEMA show.

Lincoln will be displaying a trio of customized versions of its MKS flagship sedan, MKT crossover and MKZ saloon at next month’s 2009 SEMA Show in Vegas. The three project cars were developed in cooperation with Raceskinz, Rick Bottom Designs and 3dCarbon.

“Lincoln as a brand is continuing to attract younger customers to the showroom with products like the MKS, MKZ and the new MKT luxury crossover. These customers place huge importance on style, design and technology, and these are areas where Lincoln plays well. SEMA gives customizers the opportunity to push the boundaries of design, while still focusing on the core strengths of the Lincoln brand,” said Amy Marentic, Ford North American Car and Crossovers group marketing manager.

Lincoln calls the 2009 Lincoln MKS Elite by Raceskinz “a perfect example of what happens when you merge beauty and technology.” Sure, why not? Raceskinz slathers the thing with carbon fiber inside and out and adds a high-powered LIIV entertainment system.

The Rick Bottom Designs 2010 Lincoln MKT “Panache” will have luxury and high style in abundance. The flamboyant exterior has been shaved of its door handles, antenna and rear reflectors, and features a custom-made beltline molding in chrome to further accent the body line. The paint treatment is striking and the interior ambience is improved with two-toned leather and matching floating armrests. Rick Bottom Designs worked over the audio system as well as the nav system.

The 2010 Lincoln MKZ by 3dCarbon aims for refinement and elegance of the standard 2010 Lincoln MKZ. The company calls it “a realistic and beautiful take on a new classic Lincoln car.”
