Lovin the new stingray concept. I own the new camaro, and would not pass on buying the ray. I only wish, pontiac had done a modern smokey and the bandit style trans-am before GM stopped pontiac production.

I think it’s a sage move for the Big 3 to be incorporating a retro style into the current generation of their new cars, just like they’re doing with this Stingray version. Some have said that it’s a tacky marketing ploy, but I strongly disagree. We’re seeing the same thing happening with the PT Cruiser, the new Ford Mustang, the new 2010 Camaro, Dodge Challenger, etc. Americans are nostalgic as a rule, and these cars offer the best of ALL worlds–the great old features many of us grew up with, added skillfully to many of the modern advancements of today’s high-tech, ultra-cool designs. The younger generation yearns to be a part of the past, I believe. But, they still want to take advantage of today’s technological advancements as well. My first car was a 1968 Mustang and I loved that car. To buy another one just like it would cost me a pretty penny, not to mention parts that aren’t easy to obtain anymore. But, now I can purchase the new Mustang with all its great bells and whistles. It’s a win-win for me and the Big 3, in my opinion. Hopefully, healthy sales of these vehicles will support my position. I believe they will!

Look at the last photo closely. I just noticed the reflection of the new generation stingray is the old generation stingray.
