The 2011 Lincoln MKZ is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sedan, available in 3 trims, ranging from the FWD to the Hybrid. The Lexus CT 200h has an Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT) and a 2.5-liter, I4, 156-horsepower engine.

The Lincoln MKZ Hybrid new for 2011. It is Lincoln’s first hybrid model, powered by Ford’s second-generation hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle inline 4-cylinder engine with a battery-driven electric motor for a combined output of 191 net horsepower. The MKZ Hybrid is capable of traveling at up to 47 mph in pure electric mode and combined fuel economy is EPA-certified at 39 mpg. MKZ Hybrid features SmartGauge with EcoGuide, a system that provides real-time information to help drivers maximize fuel efficiency and optimize hybrid performance.

“This MKZ Hybrid can cruise on electric power alone at speeds up to 47 mph and the car frequently switches to EV mode once you reach cruising speed. We loved the seamless transition between gas and electric propulsion and we also thought the MKZ felt the most like a normal car.”
