B&B's VW Eos 500HP V6 Turbo

Press and News Tuner News Volkswagen

VW EosVolkswagen’s Eos is not the first car you’d think of if someone were to say the words “frighteningly fast” or “outrageously overpowered”. No, you might think of words like “I’d like it more if … ” or “flight attendant”.

But if you hand over the VeeDub’s drop top to the lunatics at B&B, you’ll be saying more than “WOW!”

B&B is a German tuning firm with a long and storied past. The first gained attention for modifying all sorts of German iron, Porsches, Mercedes, BMWs etc., to put down huge amounts of HP and they also got known for making some custom retractable hardtops decades before anyone had thought of it.

Enter VW’s Eos into B&B’s shops. The Eos is a nice enough car. Sort like a cut down Jetta with a really slick retractable folding hardtop. Nice, but not the sort of car you’d expect to have pavement peeling performance. If you were to, say, choose from anyone of B&B’s extensive mods, the 3.2-liter V6 can produce 360, 400, 450 and even 500HP. If you go with the 500HP option, the Eos can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and top out at 308 km/h (192 mph).

Those are VERY respectable numbers.

Stopping? Not to worry, B&B took care of that too. The brake upgrade, with six or eight piston calipers (your choice) as well as a tweaked suspension with adjustable coilovers, 18 or 19-inch alloys and an aerokit are all there for the asking.

Price? Well, it ain’t cheap, but not all that bad. The engine upgrades go from €12,950 for the 360HP version to €27,950 for the top of the line 500HP. Not bad, but that doesn’t include the cost of the VW Eos 3.2 V6.
