Volvo is evaluating its product line that is sold in the US. The objective is to reduce the line up to emphasize sales of their strong sellers such as the S60, XC60, and XC90. Low volume sellers, such as the C30 and S80, may be removed from the US market.

The issue is not the C30 it’s that this car needed to be mass manufactured to compete with Mini.The new Chinese owners should manufacture this in china and the 40′s and 50′s in lost cost locations and lower the price .If this line up was in the sub 20k market it would sell massive amounts.There should be a split the 60′s to 90′s made in Sweden and sold as premium vehicles made in small volumes while the rest of the line mass made for volume pricing.It’s really the only way to succeed now.

I got to drive around in this car for a day. I must say that it is wayy better than the old C30. This one looks better, has more luggage room, handles better and is faster.

I’m a Mini Cooper driver so I thought this car would be a dog but it zooms straight and in the curves. I was super impressed.

Of course it’s still not cool like the Cooper and it’s hard to wrap your head around a Volvo that’s a little rocket. But hey, It’s a great effort.
