i have a 2009 fit sport w/ auto trans. in the review i dont think you mentioned the paddle shifters. in addition to being fun, they can be useful. when trying to pass other cars at high speed, or when entering a crowded highway, the paddle shifters (on the fit sport w/ auto trans) can be used very effectively to gain speed quickly. simply tap the down shifting paddle to 3rd gear and you can accelerate more than comfortably in tight situations.
it’s a great little car, and was voted in the top 10 cars of the year by both motortrend and car & driver.

Great review, Gary! I’m totally jealous; I drove the ’08 and was dying to check out the ’09.
I agree about the dopey a-pillar; Honda should move past this styling treatment.

Regarding the handling and power, if it’s entertaining to drive every time you get into it, sounds like a keeper!
